Summer means warmer days, longer evenings, and more chances to get together with friends and family. If you want an easy crowd-pleaser for spontaneous entertaining, an Aperol Spritz on tap is hard to beat.
The Aperol Spritz is one of Italy’s most iconic cocktails. It is light, refreshing, and distinctly bittersweet, with notes of orange, citrus, herbs, and fruit. Served from an iKegger 2.0 mini keg system, you can take it anywhere and pour it fresh with minimal effort.
This recipe follows the classic 3:2:1 ratio: 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Aperol, and 1 part soda water. The quantities below are designed to fill one of our 4L kegs, but you can easily scale the recipe up or down to suit your keg size.
*Depending on how much you plan to serve, it may be more cost-effective to use a SodaStream bottle with an adapter. For larger events, we also offer adapters that connect your mini keg to standard CO2 tanks. In the long run, these options are often more economical, and empty SodaStream cylinders can usually be exchanged locally.
Making it is just as simple as the recipe itself.
Pour all ingredients directly into your keg and gently swirl to combine.
Attach your iKegger 2.0 tap and multi-gas regulator to the keg, then insert your CO2 bulb.*
Press the button on the tap gently, increase the pressure gradually, and pour into a glass filled with ice.
Garnish with an orange slice and serve.
*Because both Prosecco and soda water are already carbonated, you only need a small amount of pressure to dispense the cocktail. One of the advantages of serving it from a keg rather than mixing it in a jug or glass is that the CO2 fills the headspace as you pour, helping the drink stay carbonated and fresher for longer.
