Our classics are the keg couplers of types A, D, S, U and M. So the coupler is guaranteed to fit your keg - whether it's a mini-keg for the home or a commercial keg in a restaurant.
The different types of couplers and spears for your keg
You can get different types of keg couplers from us. Although keg couplers and keg connections are usually standardised, there are small differences in the types. At iKegger you can buy the following types:
Flat fitting coupler, type A – German beer ( e.g. Warsteiner, Paulaner, ...)
Draft coupler, type D – American beer (e.g. Budweiser, Miller, …)
Keg coupler, type S – Import beer (e.g. Heineken, Amstel, …)
Stout coupler, type U – European beer (e.g. Guiness, Kilkenny, …)
Keg coupler, type M – special German beer (e.g. Aventinus, Einbecker, …)
The different types are suitable for the various kegs of manufacturers such as Heineken, Guinness but also Warsteiner and Paulaner - depending on which keg you want to use. Good to know: It’s not possible to use the tap heads with our mini-kegs and growlers.
The right purchase for a long life
If you want to buy a tap head for your keg, you should rather spend a little more money and buy a high-quality product. The right materials and good workmanship will guarantee the longest possible life.
But a good product is also easy to clean and ensures a satisfactory tapping result.
