Why are good taps so important?

Tapping is an art in itself. If the pressure is too high and the beer is tapped incorrectly, more foam than beer will end up in the glass.

With a good compensator tap, you can tap the beer at the right pressure and even regulate the pressure. This ensures that there is not too much pressure and that only foam comes out.

The advantage of a compensator tap is that the pressure is regulated automatically and you can use it with a pressure of up to 1.4 bar without any problems.
